School tragedy

Yesterday the US had a tragedy. A coward killed 27 people mainly children at an elementary school and then played chicken and killed himself. I am shocked and saddened to hear of such a thing. Everyone affected by this are in my thoughts and prayers. Please remember that guns don’t kill people, but the people behind the gun that kill people.

For those on my facebook

I know that there may be some who know me on facebook http://www.facebook.com/renee.wenzel and thought that I would share something that I posted that everyone who is on my list should know.
Note to people on my friends list: Requesting an item that I don't have does not make it right for you to reply to it something nasty. Doing so will go on instant block because I shouldn't have to put up with it. I had it happen to me today when a guy who plays a game I play asked for a lion, I said no I don't have one, and he replied something nasty so I blocked his butt. Sorry can't afford to pay cash for the fancy items (or pay for the credits), I can just do what I get on gifts, or what I can get with the tokens I have in the game.

What I am thankful for

With Thanksgiving being this Thursday I thought I would post a list of some of the things that I am thankful for.
  • My Salvation and faith.
  • Family and friends
  • My education and the ability to be going for something I love.
  • My pets
  • The ability to temp own a dog and then hand her over to her new owner.

That is just a few things that I am thankful for. What are some of the things that your thankful for? Feel free to comment and let me know because I would like to hear from you.

Macie Mae left for her forever home yesterday

Well Macie Mae is with her owner and I am missing her. I forgot to close the door before we left and she got out running to the car thinking she was going home with us, it broke my heart to say no, but she is in a good home. She did somehow hurt her leg (probably ether a sprain or something minor from running really fast) but otherwise she is loving her new home.

Well her shoulder got popped out so that was wrong with the leg. But her shoulder has been popped in and she is doing fine. My aunt loves her already.

Whats new

Ok so I thought that there would be more blogs to copy over but there wasn’t so I don’t have to worry about that. I still have the crappy keyboard that is sensitive. School is doing good, I find it hard to believe that I will be done for good in May. Looking forward to moving on with my life, but at the same time its going to be hard to adjust to no longer being a student. I guess being a college student for 7 years does have a “I live here” effect.  I have next week off, then two weeks and then finals. I currently live in a zoo. I have four cats, three owned and 1 is babysitting although I have heard no peeps from the owner, and the poor cat is such a shy cat, I haven’t been able to fully break him into the fold just yet, but I am making small progress. Waiting on him *Nyarly is his name* to get over his growling at the other 2 cats (Ashes and Alison) before trying him on Peaches. I still have the turtle Speedy. And I got a dog until tomorrow unless my aunt can’t take her home right away. She has been looking for a dog and my mom adopted one for her (she wanted and was looking for a dog). She is such a good girl. Her name is Maci Mae and if my aunt for some reason can’t take her or keep her, I will try to because she is so good with the three cats (won’t try the fourth because I don’t think he would like it and would hide) and she defiantly is a cutie.
I can’t think of anything else so I will talk to you all later.

Tip for pet adoption during the holidays

If your considering adopting a cat/dog or any animal this holiday, be sure that the person that you are giving the gift to is looking for/wanting the animal and will take care of it. If you can, include the person as much as possible in the picking of the animal. This is important at any age but especially important to children because they may consider a pet as a toy and pets deserve more then love for 2 weeks or so and then not because they are bored. If the children (or the receiver) plays a role in picking out the pet, the more likely the things will go out.

Are you 100% sure that you are going to go to heaven when you die?

And I copied this off from my church's tract.
Are you 100% sure that if you died today, you would go to Heaven?
1.We All Have Sinned
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of god." Romans 3:23
We are all sinners by nature and by choice. God sees all actions, thoughts, motives and places we go. We all feel guilty and ashamed of things in our lives.
2. We Have A Pentalty For Our Sin"For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23a
Sin must be paid for. God says the payment is death. Jesus said there are 2 deaths:
(1) Physical DeathGod already knows the day we will die. We can't avoid it-only prepare for it.
(2) Spiritual DeathThat's when a soul dies unforgiven and pays for his own sins, and goes to Hell forever (by the way, Hell was not created for people but for the devil and demons). God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell.
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b
God sent Jesus as His free gift to us so we could recieve Him and one day live in Heaven forever.
A gift can't be bought or earned. It can only be recived. Forgiveness does not come through baptism, church, or good deeds. It can only come through receiving Jesus once and for all as a GIFT into our hearts by faith.
Yes Jesus did die for everyone-but not every person is going to Heaven-only those who receive Him. We either receive or reject Jesus Christ. There is no in between. No one is born with Him in their lives. He is a gentleman and won't come in our heart unless invited.
3. We Can Have The Savior"But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
God chose to let Jesus pay for our sin by taking our place at the cross. He was spit upon, whipped, beard plucked and crucified. He loves you. He died, was buried, and arose after 3 days and is in Heaven making room for you. If you were the only sinner in the world, Jesus would have died just for you. He loves you!
To be honest, most people have never had a definite time, place and day to accept Jesus once and for all into their hearts. If it's ever happened to you, you'd remember it! If you were to die unforgiven as you are, where does the Bible say you'd go? Is that what you want?
4. We Can Be Forgiven Now"For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
If Jesus was willing to take you just as you are, wouldn't you be willing to take Him, "just as He is"? Just ask Him now...
Let us help you word a prayer. (Remember it's not mere words that save, but your faith in Jesus Christ).
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and save my soul from Hell. I'm trusting you, and you alone, to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me, Jesus.
                        Amen

Testing things out

With Multiply closing its doors for blogging I am left looking for a new blogging site. I am trying a couple of them out to see which one I would prefer and then will go with that. However I will keep both open (just won't be very active with the one I don't pick) in case the one I do pick would close for some reason. Here is the link to the other one and feel free to tell me which one you prefer.
